High affinity [125I]Tyr10-CST binding is demonstrated to all five human recombinant somatostatin receptor subtypes (pKD values are: 10.02; 9.45; 10.06; 9.67 and 10.33 for SST1-5 receptors respectively). It shares many functional properties with somatostatin-14, but differs in its sleep modulatory properties. |
