| Description | Purified (~80%). PKLR is a pyruvate kinase that catalyzes the production of phosphoenolpyruvate from pyruvate and ATP. Defects in this enzyme, due to gene mutations or genetic variations, are the common cause of chronic hereditary nonspherocytic hemolytic anemia (CNSHA or HNSHA). Source: Recombinant corresponding to aa2-574 from human PKR, fused to His-tag at N-terminal, expressed in E. coli. Molecular Weight: ~63kD Applications: Suitable for use in the study of enzyme kinetics, screening inhibitors, and selectivity profiling. |
