| Description | hLH (human Luteinizing Hormone (hLH) is found in the anterior pituitary gland. It induces ovulation and regulates progesterone and estrogen production by the ovaries and testes. LH levels are measured to aid diagnosing the source of certain infertility problems and to ascertain the existence of a pituitary tumor. Intended Use: This human LH ELISA kit is to be used for the in vitro quantitative determination of human luteinizing hormone (LH) concentrations in serum. Principles of the Assay: This LH enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) applies a technique called a quantitative sandwich immunoassay. The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre- coated with a monoclonal antibody specific for LH. Standards or samples are then added to the microtiter plate wells and LH if present, will bind to the antibody pre-coated on the wells.
