| Description | Purity ≥90% (HPLC). Substrate for HAT activity Sequence: SGRGKGGKGLGKGGAKRHR-C. Residues 2-20 corresponding to the N-terminal sequence of Histone H4. Application(s): The peptide can be used to measure histone acetyltransferase (HAT) activity. When used with peptides of identical sequence but differing sites of acetylation, it can be used to determine the preferred residue acetylated by any particular HAT, which acetylates histone H4. HDAC Substrate: Chemically acetylated with [3H]CH3COONa using an HDAC assay kit. The radiolabeled peptide was used to assay HDAC activity in a HeLa nuclear extract Immunoblot Analysis: Used as a standard for antibodies specific for the N-terminus of histone H4. Autoantibodies to histone antigens have been described in patients with idiopathic and drug-induced SLE, rheumatoid arthritis, and other conditions.
