| Product Name | CFB, Recombinant, Human, aa26-259, His-tag |
| Description | Purity ~95% (SDS-PAGE). CFB, also known as complement factor B, is a component of the alternative pathway of complement activation. Factor B circulates in the blood as a single chain polypeptide. Upon activation of the alternative pathway, it is cleaved by complement factor D yielding the noncatalytic chain Ba and the catalytic subunit Bb. The active subunit Bb is a serine protease which associates with C3b to form the alternative pathway C3 convertase. Bb is involved in the proliferation of preactivated B lymphocytes, while Ba inhibits their proliferation. Source: Recombinant protein corresponding to aa26-259 from human CFB, fused to His-Tag at C-terminal, expressed in insect cell. Molecular Weight: ~27.3kD (245aa), 28-40kD (SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions.) Endotoxin: <1EU/1ug (determined by LAL method) AA |
