| Product Name | AKT1, Recombinant, Human, aa1-480, His-Tag (RAC-alpha Serine/Threonine-Protein Kinase) |
| Description | Purity ~85% (SDS-PAGE). AKT1 serine-threonine protein kinase is catalytically inactive in serum-starved primary and immortalized fibroblasts. AKT1 and the related AKT2 are activated by platelet-derived growth factor. The activation is rapid and specific, and it is abrogated by mutations in the pleckstrin homology domain of AKT1. It was shown that the activation occurs through phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase. In the developing nervous system AKT is a critical mediator of growth factor-induced neuronal survival. Source: Recombinant protein corresponding to aa1-480 from human AKT1, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, expressed in E.coli. Molecular Weight: ~58.1kD (503aa) Enzyme Activity: Not determined. This product is recommended for use in applications that do not require a catalytically active form of the protein. Applications: Suitable for use in SDS-PAGE. |
