PluriSln#1 was able to selectively eliminate human pluripotent stem cells (hPSCs) while not affecting a large array of progenitor and differentiated cells. The ability to eliminate potentially tumorigenic undifferentiated cells is important for increasing the safety of hPSC-based treatments. PluriSln#1 has been used to successfully eliminate tumorigenic cells in cardiomyocytes and chondrogenic cells. |
