| Product Name | ADH1C, Recombinant, Human, aa1-375, His-Tag (Alcohol Dehydrogenase 1C, ADH3) |
| Description | Purity ~95% (SDS-PAGE). ADH1C, also known as Alcohol dehydrogenase 1C, belongs to the zinc-containing alcohol dehydrogenase family. Members of this enzyme family metabolize a wide variety of substrates, including ethanol, retinol, other aliphatic alcohols, hydroxysteroids, and lipid peroxidation products. Class I alcohol dehydrogenase, consisting of several homo- and heterodimers of alpha, beta, and gamma subunits, exhibits high activity for ethanol oxidation and plays a major role in ethanol catabolism. It is a monomorphic and predominant in fetal and infant livers, becoming less active in gestation and only weakly active during adulthood. Source: Recombinant protein corresponding to aa1-375 from human ADH1C, fused to His-Tag at C-terminal, was expressed in insect cell. Molecular Weight: ~40.6kD (381aa), 40-57kD (SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions.) Endotoxin: <1EU/1ug (determined by LAL method) AA |
