| Product Name | Chrysophanol |
| Description | Purity >98%. Chrysophanol is a natural anthraquinone found in the Chinese herb R. palmatum and also as a marine fungal isolate. It demonstrates antibacterial, antiviral, anti-inflammatory, and anticancer activities in various research models. As a component of R. palmatum, chrysophanol has been shown to inhibit hepatitis B viral DNA production and HBsAg secretion in HepG2 2.2.15 cells. Chrysophanol isolated from a marine fungus was shown to have anti-inflammatory effects, reducing the level of nitric oxide and prostaglandin E2 production by diminishing the expression of inducible nitric oxide synthase and COX-2 in BV2 microglia. It is also reported to induce necrosis through the production of reactive oxygen species in J5 human liver cancer cells. |
