| Product Name | PGK1, Recombinant, Human, aa1-417, His-Tag (Phosphoglycerate Kinase 1, PGKA) |
| Description | Purity ~95% (SDS-PAGE). Phosphoglycerate kinase 1 (PGK1) is an X-linked enzyme that plays a key role in the glycolytic pathway. The gene encoding the erythrocyte enzyme PGK1 and it seems that PGK-1 acts as a polymerase alpha cofactor protein (primer recognition protein) as a glyxolytic enzyme role. The PGK1 catalyzes the reversible conversion of 1,3-diphosphoglycerate to 3-phosphoglycerate during glycolysis, generating one molecule of ATP. Source: Recombinant protein corresponding to aa1-417 from human PGK1, fused to His-tag expressed in E. coli. Molecular Weight: ~46.8kD (437aa) Specific Activity: >600units/mg, one unit will convert 1umole of 1,3-Bisphosphoglycerate to 3-PGA/minute at pH 8.0 at 37°C. AA |
