| Description | ImmunoTek™ p-Nitrophenyl Phosphate (pNPP) p-NPP is a single component reagent system for microwell assay of Calf Intestine Alkaline Phosphatase (CIAP or CAP) labeled probes and is an excellent substrate for phosphatase based ELISA assays. p-NPP produces a soluble end product which is yellow in color and read at 405-410 nm. Both kinetic and end point determinations can be performed. p-NPP is the customary phosphate ester used as a substrate for measuring AP activity due to its high solubility in alkaline buffers which affords zero order kinetics and significant molar extinction coefficient of 18600 mol-1cm-1. |
