DTSSP is a water-soluble crosslinking agent with primary amine-reactivity, N-hydroxysulfosuccinimide (Sulfo-NHS) esters at both ends and contains a cleavable, 8-atom (12A?) spacer arm. The disulfide bond in the spacer arm is cleavable with reducing agents such as DTT, TCEP, etc. DTSSP crosslinker is membrane-impermeable, thus enabling cell-surface crosslinking without interfering with intercellular proteins.
