| Product Name | Fibroblast Growth Factor 9, Recombinant, Mouse (FGF9) |
| Description | Fibroblast Growth Factor-9 (FGF-9, Glial Activating Factor) is a heparin binding growth factor that stimulates the proliferation and activation of glial cells and other cells that express FGF receptors. Murine FGF-9 is a 23.3kD protein containing 205 aa residues. Biological Activity: USBio's murine FGF-9 is fully biologically active when compared to standards. The ED50 as determined by the dose-dependent stimulation of thymidine uptake by BaF3 cells expressing FGF receptors is ≤ 0.5ng/ml, Corresponding to a specific activity of ≥ 2 x 10e6u/mg. Concentration Range for most in vitro applications: 0.1-1ng/ml Responding Cells (partial list): Murine FGF-9 exerts full activity on both murine and human cells (i.e. Glial cells, 3T3 fibroblasts).
