| Description | Purity ~98% (SDS-PAGE gel, HPLC). Macrophage Colony Stimulating Factor (M-CSF) is produced by various cell types, including fibroblasts, macrophages and endothelial cells. This colonly stimulating factor is involved in both the development and function of monocytes/macropahges. Human M-CSF is a disulfide-linked homodimer composed of 18.4kD subunits of 158aa residues. Source: Recombinant protein corresponding to human M-CSF, expressed in E. coli. Biological Activity: Determined by its ability to stimulate the proliferation of murine M-NFS-60 cells. The expected ED50 is 1x10e6units/mg.
