| Product Name | Baicalin |
| Description | Purity >95%. Baicalin is the glucuronide of baicalein , a flavonoid originally isolated from the roots of S. baicalensis Georgi. Both compounds are reported to have neuroprotective, hepatoprotective, anti-viral, anti-cancer, and anti-anxiety effects in experimental models. The anti-cancer activities of the Scutellaria -derived flavones have been mainly ascribed to their reactive oxygen scavenging ability and attenuation of NF-?B activity, as well as their induction of cell cycle gene expression and COX-2 gene expression. Baicalin has been shown to inhibit HIV-1 replication by blocking the activity of the reverse transcriptase. It can also promote neural stem cell differentiation in vitro by activating ERK1/2. |
