| Description | Purity ≥95% by SDS-PAGE. Hepatocyte Growth Factor (HGF) is a multifunctional growth factor which regulates both cell growth and cell motility. It exerts a strong mitogenic effect on hepatocytes and primary epithelial cells. HGF synergizes with Interleukin-3 and GM-CSF to stimulate colony formation of hematopoietic progenitor cells in vitro. It may modulate hematopoiesis. Recombinant Human HGF is a heterodimer, non-glycosylated, polypeptide chain containing 692aa and having a total molecular mass of 78kD. Biological Activity: The activity was assayed for scattering activity in the MDCK cell assay. The ED50 for this effect is typically at 1.0-5.0ng/ml (200,000-1,000,000 IU/mg).
