| Product Name | AMT, Recombinant, Human, aa29-403, His-Tag (Aminomethyltransferase, Mitochondrial Isoform 1) |
| Description | Purity ~90% (SDS-PAGE). AMT, also known as Aminomethyltransferase, mitochondrial isoform 1, is a component of the glycine cleavage system termed T-protein, reversibly catalyzes the degradation of the aminomethyl moiety of glycine attached to the lipoate cofactor of H-protein, resulting in the production of ammonia, 5,10-methylenetetrahydrofolate, and dihydrolipoate-bearing H-protein in the presence of tetrahydrofolate. Source: Recombinant protein corresponding to aa29-403 from human AMT, fused to His-tag, expressed in E.coli. Molecular Weight: ~43.3kD (398aa), confirmed by MALDI-TOF Enzyme Activity: Not determined. This product is recommended for use in applications that do not require a catalytically active form of the protein. Applications: Suitable for use in SDS-PAGE. |
