| Description | Purity ≥98% by SDS PAGE. Ecotin is a serine protease inhibitor that is found in the periplasm of Escherichia coli. It has a very broad range of inhibition including the pancreatic serine proteases trypsin and chymotrypsin, human leukocyte and porcine elastase and rat mast cell chymase. Ecotin is regarded as a potent, tight-binding, reversible inhibitor of Factor Xa.
