| Description | Highly purified. MagDetect™ DNA All Purpose, Beads are ideal for purification or isolation of nucleic acids from various sources. The magnetic microparticles are intended as a solid phase extraction tool for custom buffer systems based on chaotropic as well non-chaotropic binding principles, and can be used for developing your own nucleic acid isolation and extraction methods. MagDetect™ DNA All Purpose Beads are magnetic silica beads with a dense core of iron oxide and with a higher magnetic content compared to MagDetect™ DNA (Cat. #M2106-60). The nanoporous surface is optimal for nucleic acid binding. The high paramagnetic strength results in high recovery of the bead when isolating them from complex matrices like blood. Due to the supermagnetic property, the beads sediment slowly and typically collect within 3 minutes in a magnetic field, making the beads applicable for both manual and automated DNA isolation.
