| Description | Purity ~96% (SDS-PAGE, HPLC). Cytokine that stimulates the proliferation of T-lymphocytes. Stimulation by IL-15 requires interaction of IL-15 with components of IL-2R, including IL-2R beta and probably IL-2R gamma but not IL-2R alpha. Source: Recombinant protein corresponding to human Interleukin-15, a single non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 115aa, expressed in E. coli. Molecular Weight: ~12.9kD (115aa) Applications: Suitable for use in SDS-PAGE. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Biological Activity Fully biologically active when compared to standard. The ED50 as determined by the dose-dependant stimulation of the proliferation of CTLL-2 was found to be 2x10e6units/mg.
