| Product Name | BTD, Recombinant, Human, aa44-545, His-Tag (Biotinidase) |
| Description | Purity ~85% (SDS-PAGE). BTD, also known as biotinidase isoform 1, is a member of the nitrilase superfamily, which consists of 12 families of nitrilases, amidases, carbamylases, and N-acyltrasferases. It catalyzes the hydrolysis of biocytin, the product of biotin-dependent carboxylase degradation, to biotin and lysine. It may have an important regulatory role in chromatin/DNA function. Source: Recombinant protein corresponding to aa44-545 from human BTD, fused to His-Tag at C-terminal, expressed in insect cell. Molecular Weight: ~57.8kD (510aa), 50-70kD (SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions) Endotoxin: <1EU/1ug (determined by LAL method) AA |
