Fatty acid binding protein is one of a group of low- molecular weight proteins involved in the solubilization and transport of fatty acids. The release of cytoplasmic heart fatty acid-binding protein (H-FABP) into the plasma of cardiac patients is used as a marker of cardiac damage. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA. |
