| Description | Purity ~95% (SDS-PAGE). GrxB (Glutaredoxin-2) belongs to the glutaredoxin family. Glutaredoxins are small redox enzymes of approximately one hundred amino-acid residues that use glutathione as a cofactor. Glutaredoxins are oxidized by substrates, and reduced non-enzymatically by glutathione. This protein involved in reducing some disulfides in a coupled system with glutathione reductase. It does not act as hydrogen donor for ribonucleotide reductase. Source: Recombinant protein corresponding to aa1-215 of E. coli GrxB, fused to His-tag at N-terminal expressed in E. coli.
