| Product Name | Ldha, Recombinant, Mouse, aa1-332, His-Tag (L-lactate Dehydrogenase A Chain Isoform 1) |
| Description | Purity ~95% (SDS-PAGE). Ldha, also known as L-lactate dehydrogenase A chain isoform 1, is a member of the LDH/MDH superfamily and LDH family. It catalyzes the conversion of L-lactate and NAD to pyruvate and NADH in the final step of anaerobic glycolysis. This protein is found predominantly in muscle tissue. It has long been known that many human cancers have higher LDHA levels compared to normal tissues. It plays an important role in the development, invasion and metastasis of malignancies. Source: Recombinant protein corresponding to aa1-332 from mouse Ldha, fused to His-Tag at C-terminal, expressed in insect cell. Molecular Weight: ~37.5kD (340aa) 28-40KD (SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions.) Endotoxin: ~1EU/1ug (LAL) Specific Activity: >250units/mg, and is defined as the amount of enzyme that convert 1umole of pyruvate to L-lactate/minute at pH 7.5 at 37°C. |
