| Description | Purity ~97% (SDS-PAGE, HPLC). CXCL4 is a CXC chemokine that is expressed in megakaryocytes and stored in the alpha-granules of platelets. CXCL4 is chemotactic towards neutrophils and monocytes and has been shown to inhibit angiogenesis. Source: Recombinant protein corresponding to human Platelet Factor-4, a single non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 70aa, expressed in E. coli. Molecular Weight: ~7.77kD (70aa) Applications: Suitable for use in SDS-PAGE. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Biological Activity: Measured by its ability to inhibit human FGF-basic-dependent proliferation of NR6R-3T3 mouse fibroblasts. The ED50 for this effect is typically 5-15ug/ml.
