| Description | Highly purified. Control peptide for V2075 (antiserum) and V2075-05 (affinity purified antibody). Synthetic peptide (18aa) corresponding to the C-terminus of the rat VRL-1 protein. No significant sequence homology is found with VR1 or other proteins. Species homogeneity: 100% conserved in mouse VRL-1 and growth factor regulated calcium channel. Only 52% homology with human VRL-1. Nociception, the process of detecting noxious chemical, mechanical, or thermal stimuli, occurs predominantly at the peripheral terminal neurons known as polymodal nociceptors.
