| Description | Purity 2ug gives single band in an SDS-PAGE gel stained with Coomassie Blue. Recombinant E. coli-derived MutS is a protein component of the mismatch repair pathway, selectively binding DNA fragments containing mispaired or unpaired bases. MutS binds mismatches that most resemble base pairs (i.e., G:T mismatches in G:C rich regions), allowing MutS to be used for mutation/SNP detection and isolation applications and mismatch repair structure/function studies. Protease Activity: No significant degradation of protein by SDS-PAGE or loss of activity, after 16 hours at 37°C. Nuclease Activity: No detectable nuclease activity when incubated with single or double stranded DNA for 16 hours at 37°C. |
